I was in Las Vegas over the weekend, attending another seminar put on my Internet Marketing guru, Armand Morin.

At the end of his two day seminar, he went over a 46pt list of things he’d do if he were starting over online. Point #2 was to create a logo, which is exactly what I initiated today for a property investing calculator that I’ll be marketing online shortly. One of the things Armand mentioned was to look the part, as people will judge you, and your website within seconds and if they don’t like the look of things, no matter how good the content is, they won’t put the effort in to learning more about you, or your products.

To follow through on this point, I just launched a contest for a logo design at 99designs.com. Armand speaks very highly of this service where essentially you create a project, complete with all the details you are looking for in a logo, and then put up the money for a design. Then, designers will submit designs for your project where you can comment on, or outright reject until you’ve settled on the winner. The best part is that for $150 plus some fees to 99designs.com, you’ll get 25-30 entries (the more you spend, the more entries you’ll get) and you only have to pay the winner!

If you want to track my project, you can follow along as I pick out the logo for my first internet marketing product right here:

PS — just as I’m finishing up this blog post (about 25mins after the project was launched), I already have two entries! This is going to be great.
